Description 

Optimal Defense Solutions is seeking qualified candidates to furnish Custodial Services at the Hawaii Public Housing Authority Administrative Offices on Oahu.

Responsibilities

The ideal candidate shall be careful and thorough in working, cleaning, and tidying the premises with great care and an eye for detail. Responsibilities shall include but not be limited to:

• Sweeping and scrubing floors, hallways, corridors, and stairways
• Cleaning, mopping, disinfecting and servicing lavatories and restrooms
• Emptying and cleaning receptacles
• Mopping and waxing floors
• Washing, dusting, waxing and/or polishing windows, woodwork, walls, and fixtures which are easily accessible
• Cleaning tabletops, bookcases, drinking fountains, wash basins, venetian blinds, etc.
• Arranging chairs, tables and other light furniture and equipment for scheduled activities
• Locking and unlocking doors and windows; turning lights on and off
• Operating polishing machines and vacuum cleaners
• Performing other related duties as assigned

Requirements

The ideal candidate shall:

• Be organized, energetic, understanding, and shall take pride in work performed
• Possess experience in performing manual work in cleaning and maintaining public buildings
• Have working knowledge of practices, tools, and materials used in janitorial work
• Possess the ability to perform light manual work
• Be able to understand and follow oral and written instructions
• Be able to perform the essential functions of the position effectively and safely, with or without reasonable accommodation

Cleaning Schedule:

Candidate shall perform responsibilities on a Part-time basis as follows:

• M-F; 5:00 pm to 9 pm
• One (1) Saturday per Month; 7:00 am to 3:30 pm
